Here at Good And Gather, our mission is to make healthy, affordable, and sustainable food accessible to everyone. We’re a team of food lovers, health enthusiasts, deal hunters, and passionate writers coming together to share our knowledge, experiences, and insights on all things food and grocery related.
Our Story
The idea for Good And Gather first came about when our founder, Jane Doe, became frustrated with the lack of transparency and misleading marketing in the food industry. As a busy working mom trying to make healthy choices for her family, Jane felt overwhelmed navigating the grocery store aisles and figuring out what was actually good to eat.
After doing some digging, she realized there was a need for an honest, trustworthy resource that cut through the marketing hype and helped everyday folks figure out how to shop smart and eat well on a budget. And so, Good And Gather was born in 2019 with the mission of making healthy food accessible to all.
We started out as a passion project and a place for Jane to share her grocery shopping tips, favorite healthy recipes, and deals she came across. As more people began finding value in the transparent, no-nonsense approach of Good And Gather, we expanded our content to include rigorous product reviews, grocery guides for specialized diets (like gluten-free, keto, and vegan), and tips for meal planning and reducing food waste.
Now, our little passion project has grown into a trusted resource for thousands of readers every month! As our community continues to grow, our mission remains the same: empower people to make informed choices about the food they buy and eat.
Our Values
Everything we do at Good And Gather stems from our core values of transparency, affordability, sustainability, and community. Here’s what these values mean to us:
Transparency
We believe people have a right to know what’s in their food and where it comes from. That’s why we always clearly cite our sources, avoid vague health claims, and call out misleading food marketing when we see it. You can trust that the information we provide is unbiased, evidence-based, and accurate.
Affordability
Eating healthy food should be accessible to people from all income levels. We share tips for saving money at the grocery store, seek out deals and discounts on wholesome products, and offer budget-friendly recipes made with affordable ingredients. We want to show people that taking care of your health doesn’t have to drain your wallet.
Sustainability
Our food choices have an enormous impact on the planet. We promote sustainability by covering topics like food waste reduction, supporting local food systems, choosing organic and regenerative agriculture practices, and reducing reliance on meat. We aim to help our community minimize its food footprint.
Community
At Good And Gather, our readers and followers are our community. We value your feedback, stories, and suggestions. Together, we can make the food system better through collective knowledge and conscious consumerism. We’re proud to be on this journey with you!
